By now, you most likely have heard that LEGO Kidsfest has come to Harrisburg, PA. The three day event, which has been sold-out for weeks, started yesterday at the Farm Show Complex. Tickets were booked in 4 hour time slots, so that the event was not so crowded that every person couldn’t enjoy it. Carter and I, along with my brother-in-law, Jimmy, and nephew, Jack, took on the event Friday afternoon.
There was a little bit of everything for the LEGO lover in your family. There are well over 20 massive LEGO creations, ranging from animals like Zebras and Gorillas to pop-culture phenomenons like Batman, Superman, and even a giant glass slipper from Cinderella. Each creation has it’s own opportunity for photos, including some unique ones with Spiderman and the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine.
There are numerous stations around the arena that allow you to build a piece of LEGO art to display. Along with all of the creation stations, there is a giant pile of legos in the center of the convention to allow your child freedom to build whatever they can imagine! When you have built to your heart’s content, you can head to the massive LEGO Store on your way out.
As I stated before, the event this weekend is sold out, but if you can find tickets on the secondary market (i.e. Craigslist or Facebook groups), I highly recommend checking it out!
